Dry Eye Treatment
If you are suffering from dry eyes, there are several treatment options that can help decrease your symptoms. Your optometrist may recommend using artificial tears to keep the eyes moist. These are medicated drops that are applied directly onto the eyes. If this doesn't work, your doctor may suggest eye inserts. Eye inserts are placed under the lower eye lid and eyeball, and acts like artificial tears, keeping the eyes moist. In severe cases, your eye doctor may recommend surgery to close the tear ducts and prevent tears from evaporating quickly. We will discuss all of these options with you before any decisions are made.
